The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) is a professional organization devoted to the understanding and treatment of gender identity disorders. Its mission is to promote evidence-based care, education, research, advocacy, public policy and respect in transgender health.
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists in the United States and internationally. It has established standards of care within the area of transsexual medicine, and recognizes and supports therapists who work with the TG community.

The Colorado Gold Rush Transgender Conference is an annual event organized by The Gender Identity Center of Colorado. The conference, which is held in Denver, Colorado, features a variety of keynotes, workshops and activities for the trans community and allies.
The Keystone Conference is an annual event hosted by TransCentralPA aimed at celebrating the unique diversity of gender. Held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the conference features four days of workshops, keynotes and social outings, all geared towards providing informative and inspirational material to the TG community.
Southern Comfort Conference
The Southern Comfort Conference, located in Atlanta, Georgia, brings together authors, entertainers, leaders and vendors from the entire spectrum of the transgender community to offer a four-day symposium full of learning, networking and fun. Whatever your connection to the transgender community is, if transgender is an issue in your life, you are welcome to attend.
Fantasia Fair is a week-long celebration of gender diversity held every October in the LGBT resort town of Provincetown, Massachusetts. The longest-running annual conference in the transgender world, Fantasia Fair is part conference, part social gathering, and a “full immersion” experience, meaning that attendees can and usually do spend the entire week presenting their gender as they wish.
